President of Iran: Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi
The niece of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been arrested after she recorded a video describing the authorities led by her uncle as a “murderous and child-killing regime”.
Earlier the Iranian Parliament had refused to back down in the face of 50-days of protests by Iranian women against the compulsion of wearing Hijab. The protests were triggered by the death of Mahsa Amini, who had been arrested by the morality police.
On Sunday, 13th November 2022, the first death sentence was issued by an Iranian court. There are about 15,000 protestors, who have been arrested during the last 50 days and they all are eligible for death sentence.
Protesters in Iran have set on fire the ancestral home of the Islamic republic’s founder Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, in the city of Khomein in the western Markazi province.
A day after the IRGC chief warned the anti-HIjab protesters to stay at home and end their stir, several videos on social media show Iranian students clashing with Iran’s forces and Basij militia.
