Exit polls have predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to retain power in Gujarat.
The major issue before BJP in Gujarat is to build a credible leadership, which can get votes on the basis of its own work. Narendrabhai Modi and Amitbhai Shah have left Gujarat in 2014 to work at the national level. During the last 8 years, BJP government has continued the development work. But a leader like Yogiji in UP has not emerged in Gujarat.
Indian National Congress has been out of power for 27 years. But its organization can be seen in every nook and corner of the State. It also had a good share of vote in Gujarat till 2019 elections. During this election, it is said that AAP may take

away some of its votes. The results on 8th December will tell the truth.
But the fact is that INC has some strong local leaders in different parts of Gujarat. But a leader, who can create a coherent Gujarat-wide team has yet to be found.
The EXIT polls predict a strong victory for AAP in Municipal Corporation of Delhi. But its share, according to the EXIT polls is not likely to be high. But as a new party, it has made a strong debut.

Though AAP has succeeded in bringing attention to its work in Delhi, the fact is that its work has not been such that it can stand on its own, without a strong campaign. So AAP has to work harder in Delhi and it has to show success in governance in Punjab before 2027 or even 2024.
