STOP the Execution of Women Protestors by Iranian Govt

Tuesday, Dec 13, 2022

In the context of the anti-Hijab agitation by the women of Iran, since 16th September 2022, Iran’s President said in a televised address,”Iran’s Islamic foundations were strongly entrenched. But there were “methods of implementing the constitution that can be flexible”. The political observers in the world interpreted the statement to mean that Iran would review the Hijab Law of Iran.

We published this interpretation at https://diginews360.com/iran-to-review-hijab-law/

On December 12, 2022, the Times of India has published an important interview with US-based Iranian analyst, Negar Mortazavi. (Reference: https://tinyurl.com/3ymsdp36).

Iranian Government’s response to the ‘civil disobedience movement’ against the hijab law, Negar described as follows:

” The state is also dealing with the protesters in more violent ways…. Iran just carried out its first executions of protesters in the recent anti-government unrest. They were executed after being charged of “moharebeh” or enmity against God.”

Negar quoted Amnesty International to say that Iranian government was seeking death penalty for at least 21 people.

We strongly protest against these inhuman acts of a government in this 21st century. We call upon people, and governments to act individually and jointly through UNO to block the cruelties being inflicted on the women of Iran.
