Chinese Government is facing the largest street demonstrations in decades.
The protests were sparked by anger over the deaths of at least ten people, on Thursday, 24th November night, in a fire in Urumqi. It is said that the victims, who were trying to escape out of the high-rise building, were blocked by anti-Covid controls by the Police. Urumqi is the Xinjiang’s regional capital.
This week, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau came out in strong support of the Chinese, who are protesting against tough anti-lockdown measures, imposed by the dictatorial regime of Xi Jinping. Trudeau said, “Everyone in China should be allowed to express themselves. We’ll stand with people, who are expressing themselves.”
One may expect that the people in the whole of the democratic world would support the Chinese people, who are struggling against cruel controls, being mindlessly imposed by a regime, which does not permit any fundamental freedoms to its people. The governments in the democratic world have not come out in open support of the people in China because their assessment is that the Xi regime is strong and the people’s agitation has no organization.
CCP has unleashed its Police and forces to suppress the agitation. In a show of force, armoured vehicles and large security forces are seen in the main roads and streets of large cities. The Chinese police is searching for photos and banned applications in any citizen’s phone. CCP has vowed to ‘crack down on infiltration and sabotage activities by hostile forces.’
Many of the decision-makers in North America created FALSE visions, in their mind, of China becoming more open and democratic country, as it shed its poverty. Instead, it has become a state-capitalist kleptocracy, which uses its riches and new technologies for a more thorough surveillance of its citizens.
