Nov 15, 2022: Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com, is planning to spend most of his wealth on those working on issues, related to climate change. The work on Climate Change unites the whole of humanity, despite deep social and political divisions in this diverse world.
Jeff Bezos is the fourth richest person in the world according to Forbes and has a net worth of about $ 124 billion. Only Elon Musk, Bernard Arnault and his family and Indian industrialist Gautam Adani have more wealth than him.
Jeff has said in a conversation with a TV channel that his partner Lauren Sanchez, who has been a journalist, is helping him in this work. Jeff was asked if he was going to donate most of the wealth, he had earned during his lifetime. He said, “Yes I am going to do it, just don’t know how to do it.” Bezos further said that this decision is not easy for him. Just as it was not easy to set up Amazon, similarly it is not easy to donate the wealth earned so far. He said that a lot of hard work has gone into making Amazon.
RECESSION: Amazon chief Jeff Bezos has expressed fears, as Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon did in October, that the threat of recession looms large over the world. He has advised consumers and businesses that they should keep cash deposits in view of the devastating slowdown. Bezos has advised American consumers to avoid making major purchases such as a new television, refrigerator and car for the time being. Also, he advised small businesses that they should consider putting off investment plans in new equipment for the time being. Though the e-commerce giant did not specify how long the slowdown might last, he appealed to the people to be prepared to tide over the economic calamity.
